Transportation is a key component of the University’s research focus on Future Cities (http://www.gla.ac.uk/futurecities/), part of our Urban Transportation Research Group (http://www.gla.ac.uk/research/az/urbantransportationresearch/) and the one-of-a-kind recently established Urban Big Data Centre (http://www.ubdc.ac.uk/).
Applications from enthusiastic individuals with a strong academic path and research activities/interests (among others) in connected and automated/autonomous vehicles (driverless transportation), smart infrastructure (including V2V and V2I technologies), Intelligent Transport Systems, traffic flow theory and control, system of systems and distributed control of corridor networks and cities, pervasive sensing and data fusion for traffic monitoring, and logistics, are welcome.
Successful candidates will be provide a comprehensive package of support to ensure that they can establish their academic activities quickly and effectively.
