The post is associated with the Transportation Research Group (TRG) – a multi-disciplinary group which has gained an International reputation for its research and teaching excellence over nearly 50 years of operations across a range of modes (Air, Rail, Road and Sea). We are now seeking to appoint a lecturer to contribute to our research and teaching activities in Transportation including Highway and Traffic Engineering, Modelling and Simulation, Traffic Management and Control, Data Integration, Freight and Logistics and Sustainable Transport Systems.

The appointee will contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in our Civil and Environmental Engineering programmes– particularly on our well established Masters programme in Transportation Planning and Engineering – as well as supervising research students. The appointee will be expected to develop a programme of original research that complements and extends our existing strengths. The appointee should have a track record of obtaining external funding and delivering outputs at a level commensurate with the post.
