

The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology invites applications for two tenure track positions in the Department of Transportation Engineering and Geo-Information with expertise in Public Transportation Traffic Engineering.
The position is open to all academic levels (senior lecturer, associate professor and full professor) with priority to young applicants. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree, have knowledge of the Hebrew language or the basics of it, and have a demonstrated leadership and commitment to teaching and research in the academic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the research and teaching program of the Department including conducting research independently and in collaboration, achieving research grants, supervising graduate students, and teaching postgraduate and undergraduate courses in her or his field of interest and to contribute to the teaching of other engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
The Department of Transportation Engineering and Geo-Information at the Technion is committed to excellence in teaching and interdisciplinary research aimed at providing the knowledge base, innovation and human capital needed to shape an efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation system to support economic growth and quality of life of the citizens.
Faculty members conduct their research in collaboration with the Transportation Research Institute and the Ran Naor Safety Research Centre consisting of faculty members and researchers from various related disciplines.
