capable of addressing global challenges and markets. At the Faculty of
Engineering Technology – one of the five faculties at the University of Twente,

8 TENURE TRACK POSITIONS FOR HIGH-POTENTIAL ENGINEERING SCIENTISTS
5 of these positions are linked specifically to our five Departments:
Biomechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Design Engineering, Mechanics
of Solids, Surfaces and Systems and Thermal and Fluid Engineering.
3 positions will be engaged in one of our Faculty’s three spearhead domains:
Health, Maintenance and Smart Cities.
Tenure Track positions are open to highly talented academics with the potential
to become a professor. We welcome both starting and experienced applicants

Track programme, we will guarantee you a position as professor.
The Faculty of Engineering Technology is responsible for the educational
programmes Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Management,
Industrial Design Engineering, Sustainable Energy Technology and Construction
Management and Engineering. Our faculty has approximately 1,800 Bachelor’s
and Master’s students, 300 employees and 150 PhD candidates and is linked to
all the research institutes of the University of Twente.
